Description: A very wealthy young man has asked us for an escort for him from here in the Wind Country, Sand Village to his home in the Rain Village. They are going to be multiple criminals after him on the journey there so be careful. Once he get him there dropped off is when the mission is complete so don't drop your gaurd for no reason. He said he will happily pay the reward for anyone that wants to perform the mission and depending on how good they are, he said he might give extra.

Shinichi was not happy. An escort mission was precisely the type of mission he despised. He hated working in groups, for the simple purpose others getting in his way. He much preferred to do things his own way, worrying about his own hide and what his actions did to him. Having to worry about messing up someone else's plan or someone messing up his own was an enourmous bother. And now here he was, assigned to escort a likely stuck up rich civilian, who was likely to not be able to defend himself in any way whatsoever. Nonetheless, it was necessary for the Shiroto clan members to take an occasional mission. They always performed well and it kept them in good enough standing with the village to not be exiled completely. Be that as it may, the tedious task bothered Shinichi, and he was not happy. His frown grew as he reached the gate of the the Hidden Sand village, where he was to meet the man he would be escorting.

The escort walked up from the side of the village. He was wearing an all white suite and wearing glasses.
"So you are the one sent to protect me?"

Shinichi could not help but snort as he saw the man he was to escort. He wore a white suit similar to his own, but looked rather drab without any from of accessories to throw off the ghostly colors. He gave a short nod, checking to make sure he had everything. Pocket watch. A white kunai in his inner pocket. three shuriken... and of course, his father's sword. It was nothing particularly special, just a well made silver rapier, well suited for fencing styles, defensive and deflective. making sure it was strapped to his waist and easily accessible, he began to walk towards the gate, beckoning for the man to follow.

"Yes I am. We're likely to come under attack during the journey, as I'm sure you are aware, as you bothered to hire an escort. This will go much more smoothly if you follow my orders. Precisely. Understood?"

The man nodded his head.
"Just keep me safe and I'll gladly listen to anything you say."
The man started walking.
"We need to get started, it's bad enough we will probably still be walking while it's dark."

Shinichi shrugs as he begins walking out of the village, staying relatively close to the man, noticing the sun was already low in the sky.

"It might work to an advantage. In the darkness, our white clothes will throw off the perception of any onlookers. they wont be able to see much detail on either of us. And i'm wearing gold as well, any attackers would likely assume that I am you."

Pointing to his pocketwatch and necklace as he spoke, he forced a smile. It wasn't that he didn't mean it, he just didn't smile normally. He let his fingers slide over the chain of his pocketwatch as he walked next to the man along the old dirt road leading out of the village and into the surrounding desert. Dark as it would be in not too long, they should still be able to see someone coming from a relatively safe distance, given the generally smooth and flat layout of the land.

~After about 20 minutes of walking~

A kunai suddenly came out of a tree and headed for the man's head.

Through twenty minutes of walking they had just abot come to a fork in the road, on end leading north, the other west. as soon as it came into view Shinichi was alerted by the sharp whistle that could only mean one thing. Grabbing the man harshly by his nice shirt, he tugs him off to the side, pulling him out of the supposed harms way. Sure enough there in shinichi's former blind spot a kunai was racing towards them. Shinichi barely had time to move out of the way, though a small strand of his hair was cut clean off by the thrown weapon. He slid his hand away from the chain on his golden pocket and rested it on the hilt of his blade, glancing warily around for the source of the attack

"Get down, Stay down. Cover your head maybe"

Shinichi figured the last comment was unnecessary but he was upset with having been caught by surprise, and began to feel disgust, knowing the man would be all but helpless.

The man did as you said and three more kunai came flying at you as the person throwing them realized you were his bodygaurd or something like that. The location they came from was still unknown as that's what they thought.

Schinichi scowls, holding his head high and sidesteps the first two kunai, his sword ringing as it springs from his sheath in a swift flash of silver, emblazened by the setting sun, knocking the third kunai to the ground. Shinichi stands after the slash with his feet together, sword held towards the ground, in the position it had hit after his swipe. Still looking around unable to locate the attacker. Must be just behind one of these dunes, popping up to throw kunai and hiding again. Well either he stands here all night deflecting kunai, or they show themselves eventually. Thinking to himself that bandits after a rich man would do exactly the former, he scowls in disgust.

"Cowardly scum..."

Suddenly they appeared behind Shinichi and punched him in the back.
"Cowards eh?"
Three more ninja appeared around him.
"So this puny weakling is suppose to be gaurding mr.rich pants over there." He said pointed to the man.

Shinichi allowed himself to take the hit, but instantly regretted it, realizing these bandits had been hiding in the sand and he was wearing a pure white suit. That sand was impossible to get out completely, this jacket was ruined...letting out a soft sigh, Shinichi used the shunshin technique to put himself between the man he was protecting and the ninja he was protecting him from, pointing his blade at them collectively.

"I assure you gentlemen this is NOT in your best interest. Turn back now, if you've any intelligence."

Shinichi finished, waiting for their reply, taking a deep breath already beginning to gather his chakra.

All four of the ninja laughed.
"If anything yo might want to give us that rich guy and prance on back home, like the little punk you are." The one that punched you said as they all started circling you.

Shinichi frowned, watching the one who had hit him, clearly the leader of the gang. With them circling like this, using any of his fire jutsu would be dangerous, he was likely to burn the man he was protecting as well. He had to find a way to group them together or get the man out of there...Well if Shinichi knew bandit types, then several assumptions could be easily made here. Thieves like these were like stray dogs. Survival of the fittest. The leader had to be the strongest. So if he was beaten, the others would likely lose heart and not prove as big a challenge. It wasn't much but it was a start. Shrugging towards the one he assumed was the leader, keeping his head held high.

"Have it your way."

So saying, Shinichi threw a burst of chakra into his legs to boost his reflexes and performed the Shunshin technique, appearing behind the man who had punched him, just as the man had done to him. Rather than using his fist howerver, Shinichi thrust the hilt of his sword at the back of the mans head with the speed only a thrust can deliver, his free hand reaching to the inner pocket of his jacket for the kunai, ready to throw towards anyone who might be smart enough to move in on the rich man while Shinichi made his move.

As the leader heard him say, "Have it your way" he made his first move. He did acouple handsigns and as they blade pushed against the back of his neck a log appeared in his place and split from the cut. He didn't reappear staying hidden as his three henchman charged in from their circling formation.

Too easy thought Shinichi as they charged him. He took a few steps away from the man he was guarding, as the enemies were charging Shinichi. Had to make room for this technique. With his sword lodged in the log for the moment, he let it drop to the side, lodging his kunai in the log as well, and formed his clan's phoenix seal, gathering his chakra quickly for a burst as they closed in on him. Calmly he spoke aloud.

"Katon. Hinote Mayu."

As the words slowly left his mouth, a burst of flame erupted from him, forming a sphere of white hot fire around him. One of the men had been just about to grab him, and as his hand was engulfed the the fire, it was all but incinerated, and as he leapt back screaming onto the ground, there was little left of his hand but cracked and blackened bone up past his elbow. The other had been lucky enough not to charge into the flame, but the radiant heat, even in that short burst, had begun to melt his skin, and he shrunk back clutching at his face, loose bits of skin hanging from his burnt hands, the smell of burning flesh flowing into the air. As the burst of fire subsided Shinichi saw the third man still charging, though he had hesitated a bit at the flames, giving Shinichi time to reach down and grab the kunai from the log, flicking his wrist and sending the kunai flying with high speed at the man's chest to if nothing else serve as a distraction to buy time. As soon as the kunai left his hand, he again formed the Phoenix seal and muttered under his breath.

"Katon. Nensho Te."

Forcing the flow of his chakra into his hands for this technique, his hands began to heat up, glowing red with their heat. The man had ducked under the kunai and kept on charging. That plus the leader's speed and use of the substitution technique confirmed the fact for Shinichi that these were more than simple bandits. But they were not enough. Shinichi gracefully sidestepped the man's first swing, now on the side of his extended arm, Shinichi reached up and grabbed it with his right hand at the wrist. The moment he did so, the man's shirt sleeve began to smoke and burn, and the smell of burnt flesh increased and the man cried out in pain, only to be quickly silenced as Shinichi shoved his other hand at the man's throat, pushing with a tiger grip, his burning fingers melting holes through the flesh and scorching the vocal cords beneath. Throwing him aside as he died in agonizing silence, Shinichi took a few steps to his sword, placing his burning hands onto the blade, which after being heated up to some degree, burned the wood around it enough to pull free easily. As the burning hands technique wore off, Shinichi kept a wary eye out for the leader of the group while he walked to the melted man, still writhing in agony on the ground, running the blade through his heart.

Now only the leader and another henchman remained the leader started doing more handsigns and the other henchman charged him while he stood there.

Shinichi chuckled lightly as the final henchman charged him. He was brave indeed to press the attack even after one of his arms was useless, having no muscle below the elbow. Brave, or desperate. Shinichi formed the phoenix seal again.

"Katon: Kemuri Haku."

Flames rose from his feet and seemed to engulf him, leaving only a pillar of smoke where he had been. In the brief instant when the flames were upon him completely, Shinichi used the Shunshin technique again, appearing behind the charging henchman as he peered into the smoke confused. In one swift movement, before the henchman realized the trick, Shinichi drew his blade across the man's neck from behind, spilling his life's blood. Taking a moment to glance at the man he was protecting, he found him curled up in a ball, staring at Shinichi as though he were a monster. Shinichi returned the scowl, turning up his nose as he went to stand near the man again, peering around cautiously for the leader, again in hiding.

"Like I said...Cowards and scum...Come out and face me!"
