Suffixes..
Do you guys use suffixes with each other? If so post which ones you use with who, and why. I'm curious. ^__^
At the moment the only person I use suffixes on here is Kiza-niisan. But that's 'cause he and I are friends on another site, and he's really really awesome. I use -san for everyone else.

Re: Suffixes..
I'm slightly obsessed. Well... obsessed is the wrong word, but I derive more pleasure than I should from strictly refering to all people with their proper suffix in accordance to my character relationship with them and whatnot. ^__^

Re: Suffixes..
Eh not often. I do, however, like to use -Chan for girls and -San for guys. And anyone whom I think is cool with me is Nii-San or Nii-Chan to me.

I suppose I could call you that. You seem pretty cool. But as for now... Your just Pak-Chan to me. But maybe you will work your way up.

Re: Suffixes..
It gets a little complicated though so here's a brief summary of the suffixes older brother and older sister.
So the basic form of older brother is nii. It is not used by itself though there are things added to it that change the meaning. Here's a list:
Nii-san - The common one. It is polite and basically means older brother. It is implies a sense of closeness.
O-Nii-san - The same as Nii-san only more respectful.
Nii-chan - It is a cutsy way of saying older brother. It can be insulting and implies that the person is childish, feminine or little. It can also not be childish if the user is really little, and it can be used to imply that you're really close to the person you're using it on.
Nii-sama - This is a really really respectful version of older brother. It is really formal though and hardly ever used.
O-Nii-sama - Really really really really respectful.
Older sister is basically the same thing:
Nee-san - The common one. It is polite and basically means older sister. It is implies a sense of closeness.
O-Nee-San - The same as Nee-san only more respectful.
Nee-Chan - Implies a closeness more so that the other versions. But it can be used by anyone to refer to a girl older than them.
O-Nee-Chan - More respectful than Nee-Chan.
Nee-sama - This is a really really respectful version of older sister. It is really formal though and hardly ever used.
O-Nee-sama - Really really really really respectful.
There are other variants but I'm too tired to remember them. Does that help?

Re: Suffixes..
Haha. The -'s are only there to show the seperation of parts. You could also say that Oneesama.

Re: Suffixes..
Haha ok. Well I'll just continue to call you Oneesama then. Much less typing, not to mention faster.

Re: Suffixes..
I'm honored. ^__^
I stick with -san until I figure out a suffix that I think fits that person. So I'm still gonna call you Ukokei-san.

Re: Suffixes..
Not really. There aren't really that many suffixes and they are based more on relationships that attributes.
