"Hmm. The distance is too short Kojima and your control over yourself isn't good but as your learning the technique it's acceptable," said Washi calmly, "Now your turn Matsutsu!"

Washi looked at Matsutsu and gave him the signal to shunshin towards him.

Matsu noticed how well Kojima did on his first try. He truly is a natural at his jutsus. "I can do it just as good" he said as he Shunshined on the side of Washi almost falling over but just keeping his balance. Matsu knew he would have to practice this jutsu even more to use it correctly and effectively.

"Balance! Balance, Matsutsu, it is essential that you can control your own body if your going to shunshin. Both of you are also rather slow, but that's understandable," said Washi as he examined Matsutsu's technique, "Now I want both of you to shunshin back to your original position. Last one back will have to dodge a shuriken."

Washi kept a calm face but he was not at all pleased at their current showing. Clearly they were not like him when he was their age - already nearly a Jounin.

Matsu immediately Shunshined back to his original spot with a burst of chakra. He got back to the spot but almost fell flat on his face but immediately went to do a handspring as if he did it on purpose. He then stood up and took a quick bow.

*Kojima bit his lip and took in a sharp breath, turning and shunshined back, traveling around ten meters this time, using it again as his feet hit the ground, deciding it unecessary to stop. Still moving with the momentum of his first shunshin as he pushed off with the second, he landed about 22 meters away from washi-sensei, again skidding to a halt, though making sure to remain in control of his balance. looking up quickly to see if matsu had beat him back*

"Unimpressive. To be blunt i'd say your both as bad as each other," said Washi, "So I guess your both going to have dodge these shurikens."

Washi threw three shuriken at them each, before he shunshined perfectly infront of the shuriken and caught them again.

"Hehe, but that doesn't mean you've been let off," grinned Washi as he said this, "Kira!"

Washi threw his kunai towards Kojima and immediately after that threw a shuriken at Matsutsu.

*Kojima wasn't sure what the purpose was when Washi-sensei caught the shuriken, perhaps simply to demonstrate how an affective and skillfully executed shunshi could be used. But having trained with Washi sensei several times now, he didnt' allow himself to think the lesson would be so simple as that. He was ready when Washi-sensei threw the kunai at him, and burst his reflexes again, jumping to the side around 10 meters, landing in a steady stance that stabalized him enough he didn't skid*

Matsu shocked at sensei's display. Stored his chakra a little more than last time and quickly got about 6 meters behind Washi sensei keeping balanced for once but was noticably slower. He instantly began storing his chakra so he would have an excellent Shunshin next time he though hopefully

"I'll keep throwing shuriken and kunai until you guys can perfect your control over Shunshin. It shouldn't take too long at the distance your covering," Washi said calmly, "Kira. Return!"

The kunai flew back into his hand and this time the Jounin got out a few explosive notes and attached them onto the shuriken.

"Have fun with these. Oh and if you lose your balance I'll send another one."

Matsu not understanding why he is using exploding notes, He is puzzled between two options Sensei must have a lot of faith in his students or just doesn't feel like having us around much longer. Matsu shunshined out of the way of this shuriken getting maybe 16 meters away and lost his footing but used his bone sword to keep himself steady.

*Kojima barely had time to see Washi-sensei place the tags on the shuriken before they were flying straight for him. That would force them to go farther, if they didn't dodge far enough they'd be caught in the blast. Biting his lip and making sure his breathing was nice and steady, Kojima shunshined again out of the way, landing twelve feet away this time, again to the side. In the brief moment he had before the next shuriken flew, he noticed his jumping was random. he was boosting his reflexes well enough for a beginner but wasn't judging anything. licking his lips he set his eyes on a tree around fifteen meters away. taking a sharp breath he used the technique again just before the shuriken hit, putting a little more height into his movement. as the blurring speed faded he heard the shuriken explode as his feet hit the trunk of the tree a few feet up, and he pushed off, using the technique yet again, hearing the tag explode on the tree behind him at almost the same time as he landed more steadily than before, now behind Washi-sensei fifteen meters from the tree*

"Hmm I've got a new idea. Seeing as you two are doing ok at the moment and managing to dodge my explosive shurikens, i'll only activate the notes if I think you will be caught in the blast," said Washi idly,
"This way you'll also have to be careful where you shunshin as the place eventually becomes a minefield, Chieko you can stand close to me."

Washi continued throwing the shuriken and Kira this time slightly faster.

"Sensei now your making us think" Matsu Shunshined out of the first shuriken and landed near Kojima but 2 meters to the left of him. Matsu was nervous on how he will be able to keep doing so many shunshin to dodge them. Matsu was also thinking about his spar with Kojima still wondering how it got so out of hand.

*taking the pause as Washi-sensei spoke to rebutton the fourth button on his shirt, he looked up just in time to see a shuriken speeding towards him. taking a breath he shunshined out of the way in the nick of time, only going around five meters with the sudden jolt. This place was going to become a minefield relatively quickly. the shuriken had gone behind him. using the technique to dodge the next one, going around ten meters, as he was thinking. it was going to get difficult if they jumped all over the place, the tags would scatter everywhere. it would be better to do this in lines, moving forward a little at a time, so that the shuriken just slowly built up behind them. like painting. side to side, sta ying on one side of washi sensei, they wouldn't have to worry about shuriken anywhere but behind them, so as long as they moved only forward...launching himself another fifteen meters, landing steadily now and ready for the next leap, he glanced over at Matsu in teh brief moment before the next shuriken flew, hoping he wouldn't mess up the strategy*

Seeing another shuriken flying at his shin he Shunshined 8 meters forward and about 13 meters to the side opposite of where the first exploding shuriken was. He then saw Kojima giving him a nasty look. He was a bit puzzled but then noticed another shuriken coming towards him. He used a bit much chakra on this one.He just managed to Shunshin about 12 meters forward and now about 23 meters from Washi.
