Revamp Chakra System?

I believe there are some real issues with the current chakra system, the low cost of S-ranked jutsus and comparably higher costs of lower ranked jutsus.

New system:

Genin: 25 - 40 , Chuunin: 75 - 100 , Jounin: 175 - 200 , Anbu: 250 , Akatsuki: 300 Kages: 300

Missing Nin: 175 - 200 (This is assuming they are Jounin, their chakra will be based on their skill, e.g. chuunin level missing nin will have chuunin chakra capacity.)

E Ranked: 2 -4

D ranked: 4 -6

C ranked: 6-10

B ranked: 10 -15

A ranked: 15 - 25

S ranked: 50 +

Note: These aren't fixed figures yet because they will need testing.

Using two jutsu are the same time or more will inflict a 50% chakra usage penalty.

Genjutsu: In order to dispel genjutusu, Kai uses up twice as much chakra to end it. Outside interference or Pain use no chakra to dispel genjutsu B rank or below but will use the same amount of chakra for A and S ranked genjutsu.

For each post that a genjutsu lasts, 2 chakra will be used to maintain C ranked chakra and below but 5 chakra will be used to maintain B - S ranked genjutsu.

Ninjutsu: If the user makes shadow clones and makes them use jutsu then the chakra will directly come from the user's own chakra pool.

Taijutsu: Taijutsu below C rank use no chakra and taijutsu C rank or above use up to 3 less chakra per rank. E.g. S rank means 12 less chakra used. Beware however that higher ranking taijutsu also inflict physical side affects. Taijutsu may only be used in close range.

Combination attacks will go in 5: e.g. Jyuuken. So that the chakra used counts as 5 of those respective attacks.

Weapons : Senbon, Kunai and Shuriken will use no chakra unless they have been enhanced or imbued. Enhanced weapons will take 2 extra chakra each post. Weapons such as swords use up 2 chakra each attack and weaponry jutsu use up chakra respective of their rank.

Chakra:

0 Chakra = Coma -> Death (treatment needed quickly)
1 Chakra = Unconscious.
2 Chakra = very tired and fatigued

Note: Genin and below will be unable to force themselves to use jutsu if their chakra will drop to less then 1. For everyone else caution is needed.

what if someone's taijutsu is C ranked does that counts as bellow or above?

He stated below C rank which means that C rank is not included.

I like it so far, considering its in the early stages of development.

Anyway, I'm trying to accomplish two things if this chakra system is approved. The first is to balance jutsu chakra usage for S-ranked and combination attacks and the second is to add some extra rules for Genjutsu and Taijutsu.

This gives all three types of jutsu various differences, advantages and disadvantages.

E.g. Combo Taijutsu attacks will probably make taijutsu fighters on par with ninjutsu and genjutsu fighters while people can't simply just dispel a genjutsu without using chakra themselves. Genjutsu itself is also more chakra intensive then the other types and taijutsu will be made less chakra intensive.

Hence people will be inclined to mix it up a bit. I will also be adding in some rules about sealing later.

dont forget to add missing-nin to the list of how much chakra they have. I want to know how much chakra i will have.

Missing nin will have the same chakra as a Jounin e.g. 175 - 200. Although this should really depend on what rank the missing-nin are, so a genin-rank missing nin will have the same chakra as a genin.
